For sports enthusiasts we have leisure centres with pools at Abergavenny, Brecon
and Ebbw Vale, and for our younger visitors there is a great Play Barn at Llanfrynach,
near Brecon. Both of the village pubs have pool tables and are happy for youngsters
who are accompanied by a grown-
usic lovers have a treat in store if they come to stay when Crickhowell Choral Festival is staged during early May each year, when we have renowned national and international artists performing with our own prize winning choir.
Those who have never heard one of our legendary Welsh Male Voice Choirs may be tempted to listen to one of the regular choral practices at the world famous Tredegar Orpheus Choir, and a check on the Welsh National Opera Company will show what they are doing whilst you are here.
Large rock concerts are often staged in the Millenium Stadium in the centre of Cardiff during summer months when the absence of Welsh Rugby fixtures allows (Even Madonna, Take That and Paul McCartney have to wait till the end of the rugby season to get in here)
Early season visit may be lucky enough to get match tickets through the WRU.
Art lovers can find galleries in all the local towns, and Crickhowell hosts an Art Trail over the last weekend of May when over 50 local artists open up their studios and galleries to the public.
Local artisans sell their wares in Brecon and Abergavenny craft fairs each month.
